Expanding Our Complementary Care at Highlands in Bloom
At Highlands in Bloom (HiB), we design each part of the day to support mental health and nervous system regulation. We continue to expand our complementary and alternative care offerings with intention. Our program includes a two-person infrared sauna from Heavenly Heat Saunas, installed on our outdoor patio for client use during designated programming time. This addition creates a grounded and restorative experience within the structure of our residential program.
Why We Chose Heavenly Heat
We selected Heavenly Heat Saunas based on quality, design, and alignment with our environment.
The sauna uses far infrared heat technology and supports a calm, outdoor setting. Clients can sit comfortably while looking out into nature.
This combination enhances both physical relaxation and mental reset.
The design also supports safe and intentional use within a structured program.
A Trusted Review That Informed Our Decision
We take time to research every addition to the program.
Before selecting an infrared sauna for mental health and wellness support, we reviewed detailed product comparisons and independent evaluations. A review by Matt Justice stood out for its thorough breakdown of materials, construction, and overall safety.
His analysis clarified what to look for in a high quality infrared sauna. It reinforced the importance of non toxic materials, thoughtful design, and long term durability.
This level of research gave us confidence in moving forward with Heavenly Heat Saunas.
Choosing the right product matters. We prioritize safety, quality, and alignment with our environment.
How the Infrared Sauna Fits Into Our Program
Clients access the sauna during complementary and alternative medicine time.
This structured block allows space for practices that support regulation and recovery.
The sauna becomes one option within a broader program that includes:
- Clinical therapy
- Somatic movement
- Mindfulness practices
- Nervous system support
Each element works together to create a full-day experience.
Benefits of Infrared Heat Therapy
Infrared heat creates a gentle and consistent warming effect.
Users often report:
- Muscle relaxation
- A sense of calm
- Reduced physical tension
- Improved overall comfort
Time spent in the sauna also creates a pause in the day. This pause allows clients to slow down and reset.
The outdoor setting adds an additional layer of grounding.
Supporting the Nervous System Through Environment
Environment plays a key role in recovery.
The outdoor patio setting allows clients to connect with fresh air, natural light, and open space.
Pairing this setting with infrared heat supports relaxation without overstimulation.
This combination helps clients move out of high stress states and into a more regulated experience.
Staying Within Our Scope
We use complementary practices to support mental health and daily regulation.
The infrared sauna:
- Supports relaxation and routine
- Enhances the overall program experience
- Complements clinical care
We do not use sauna therapy to treat medical conditions.
We focus on how these experiences support the client’s overall sense of well being.
A Shared Commitment to Quality
Our partnership with Heavenly Heat Saunas reflects a shared focus on quality and thoughtful design.
We value tools that integrate well into a structured mental health program.
This collaboration supports both client experience and program integrity.
At Highlands in Bloom, we build an environment that supports change.
Every detail matters.
The addition of an infrared sauna creates another opportunity for clients to slow down, reset, and engage in their care.
